Zines As An Alternative to Social Media Fatigue

I come to zines as someone who has published zines for over 30 years. So I live in that space.

I also brought my zine obsession to the online digital space very early on. As a computer science major, I was active on bulletin board systems before the world wide web was really a thing.

We uploaded digital zines to BBS’s or via list servers or to space on AOL or CompuServ or Prodigy and Delphi…

Facebook Instagram, Pinterest and others dictate a different way of accessing zines which present obstacles along with improvements to that access.
