Integrated Tech Solutions, the tenth album from the critically acclaimed rapper Aesop Rock, is a masterclass in lyrical prowess and innovative production. The album is a scathing critique of modern corporatespeak and its invasive influence on our lives.
The album opens with “The ITS Way,” a short but potent track that sets the tone for what’s to come. It’s followed by “Mindful Solutionism,” where Aesop’s lyrical brilliance shines. The track weaves a narrative about the evolution of technology, from the invention of the wheel to the advent of surveillance cameras, highlighting the destructive potential of human innovation.
“Living Curfew,” featuring billy woods, is a standout track. Equally impressive is “Kyanite Toothpick,” where Aesop teams up with Hanni El Khatib. The track’s unique blend of rap and rock is a testament to Aesop’s versatility as an artist.
“Time Moves Differently Here” is another highlight, with its introspective lyrics and atmospheric production. “Bermuda,” featuring Lealani, adds a touch of surrealism to the album, while “Forward Compatibility Engine,” featuring Rob Sonic, is a hard-hitting track that showcases Aesop’s impeccable flow.
